官方虽然未曾公开宣布任何新机有关的信息，但是预热视频却似乎透露了该机的摄像头设计，可以看出其将会采用圆形的多摄方案，同时也暗示了该机将主打影像系统，拥有强劲的拍照体验。
随后，有网友曝光了一张疑似荣耀Magic 3的设计草图，其中显示该机背部将采用类似华为Mate 40 Pro的设计方案，采用一块“奥利奥”多摄模组，正面则采用一块“药丸”式双挖孔屏幕。
此次草图曝光的正面外观也与日前泄露的工程机谍照十分吻合，可信度颇高。
根据日前曝光的真机图显示，荣耀Magic 3将采用大曲率瀑布屏方案，与此前荣耀V40系列的80°超曲飞瀑屏基本一致，拥有极为沉浸的视觉观感效果，同时也能通过顶部状态栏的图标分布明显看出该机的双挖孔方案。
另外，该工程机的系统界面还泄露了该机的配置，其中处理器为SM8350，这也是骁龙888系列的代号，结合官方的宣传综合来看，该机应该会搭载最新版本的骁龙888 Plus处理器，相比此前的极限性能再次提升，这也是全球首款宣布的骁龙888 Plus机型。
同时，荣耀Magic 3还将配备12GB的超大内存版本，能提供极为庞大的后台运行空间，保障在多应用同开和游戏的性能输出，在日常使用中能更加流畅。
